File Emails
Filing emails is a quick and simple process. To start, highlight any email from any folder within the Outlook plugin. Then, click CRM and file the email. The plugin looks for corresponding email addresses within Sage CRM and automatically files it with that person. Of course, you don’t have to file it under that particular person if you don’t want to. You have the power to overwrite and file the email under the person and company you would prefer.
Each individual has their own communications folder where you can view all emails and documents that have been filed under them. This helps keep communications involving them together in one spot. To go even further, you can categorize emails as opportunity, case, order, or quote to keep similar communication types together.
In Outlook, after you’ve filed an email, it will give a visual cue to let you know it has been filed. This is to ensure you don’t accidentally file it more than once.
Through Outlook, you also have the option to sync calendars and contacts. However, these features are not typically used. The most used feature is email filing.
